I have joined the FIGHT against cancer!
So, it’s been quite some time since I’ve “hit you up” for a donation to a charity. As I can no longer run, cycling is my thing, and this ask is near and dear to my heart. I will be doing a 68 mile ride, for the West Cancer Clinic. As you may already know, cancer took my mother’s life, I am a cancer survivor, and Lisa is battling breast cancer as I type this. West is one the leading cancer centers in the Mid-South, and they need our help to continue the fight.
Unfortunately, you know someone who has been affected by cancer, because you know me. But that circle is much bigger than me, and my family.
I have a lofty goal of $2500, but if each of you could just give $25, I could easily reach that goal. Even if you can’t give $25, just give a little something.
Lisa was lucky, she has health insurance and gets annual mammograms, so hers was caught early. West makes a point to give free mammograms to those who may not have health insurance.
The bottom line, although cancer took my mother, we consider ourselves lucky. I’ve beaten it, and so will Lisa. I hope you will give whatever you can.
